Online sex racket busted in Manali

Three persons were arrested while two girls were rescued by the Manali Police yesterday night after it busted an online sex racket that was being run by a group of people from other states.

The police said the persons had designed websites on Manali escorts services which they were operating from a guesthouse. The accused used to supply girls to various hotels in Manali town. Manali SHO KD Sharma said they laid a trap to arrest the pimps red-handed and contacted the supplier on phone number given on the website yesterday evening. He said policemen in the guise of customer reached a private hotel in Manali town. Sharma said a pimp was arrested red-handed.

He said the accused had been identified as Mukesh Kumar, Mohsin Ansari and Harvinder Singh. A case under Section 3, 4 and 6 of the Immoral Trafficking (Prevention) Act has been registered.
