Sundernagar, May 29
A three-day free plastic surgery camp organised by the Rotary Club, Sundernagar, at the Zonal Hospital, Mandi, concluded on Monday. Local MLA Rakesh Jamwal honoured the team of doctors and volunteers who helped in organising the camp.
Parveen Aggerwal, president of the club, said about 200 people attended the camp, adding that some of the cases were referred to Jalandhar for advance plastic surgery. He said the Rotary Clubs in Jalandhar and Mandi helped in organising the camp.
Dr Liliya Mistahova from Kyrgyzstan (Russia), Paramjeet Singh (South Africa), Dr Surjeet Bhattacharya (Uttar Pradesh), Charanjeet Singh (Jalandhar), Apyan Thagawel (Ahmedabad), and Abhitabh (Delhi) were among those who were honoured.
Rotarian and in charge of the Gift of Smile project Vijay Sehdev said such camps would be organised in future at various places in Jammu and Punjab also.
