Dr Pritam Kalia, Emeritus Scientist at the Indian Council of Agriculture Research (ICAR), New Delhi, on Sunday interacted with students of Government College, Bangana, on the college campus. The scientist, who first studied at HPCSK University of Agriculture at Palampur and later did his post doctorate research from Horticultural Research International, Wellesbourne, UK, on a Commonwealth Scholarship, hails from Dhabera village of the Bangana subdivision.
Dr Kalia, credited with genetically improving 28 varieties of vegetable crops, shared some of his experiences with the students. He focused on applied inter-disciplinary research, scholarship, fellowship and award programmes of the government and other agencies for inspiring.
