The police on Thursday busted an online sex racket and arrested four persons, including two women, from Mashobra. It was being run in the name of Shimla escort service.
On a tip-off, a police team laid a trap and contacted an agent on his cellphone. However, the agent did not respond to calls as the caller’s number was of Himachal. Later, a SIM card was procured from Delhi to make calls and a deal was fixed.
The agent reached the fixed spot where the police arrested them, said SP, Shimla, Omapati Jamwal. The police seized six cellphones and cash from them. Their vehicle was also impounded.
According to preliminary investigations, the accused used to send girls to Shimla and suburbs to tourists and influential people. — TNS
