MANALI, SEPTEMBER 28
The police have busted a sex racket running in a hotel in Aleo near Manali and arrested a Tanzanian pimp and a hotel manager and rescued two foreigner women last night.
Acting on a tip-off, the police laid a trap and sent their men as customers.
The police raided the place and arrested the pimp under Section 3, 4 and 6 of the Immoral Trafficking (Prevention) Act.
The hotel manager was also arrested. Two women, residents of Uganda and Tanzania, were rescued by the police.
SHO, Manali, KD Sharma said the pimp was identified as Beatris Sanday (26) of Tanzania.
The hotel manager, Manjish Kumar Katoch (39), was a resident of Jogindernagar in Mandi district.
Sharma said the accused pimp and the manager were arrested and produced before the court today.
They had been remanded in police custody for three days and the embassies had been informed.
