Shimla police bust sex racket; arrest 4 people from Mashobra

The Shimla police on Thursday claimed to have busted a sex racket being run in the name of Shimla escort service and arrested four people, including two women, from Mashobra in the suburbs of the town.

The police laid a trap and called on the mobile number of the agent given in the site, but as the number was from Himachal, the agent did not respond; finally, the mobile SIM of a Delhi number was procured to make calls.

The deal was fixed and when the agents reached with the girls, they were arrested near Mashobra on Wednesday night and booked under the Immoral Trafficking Act, SP Omapati Jamwal said.

Three agents--two men and a woman--were arrested along with another girl who was to be supplied to the customer.

Preliminary investigation pointed out that the agents used to supply girls in Shimla and suburbs to tourists and high-profile people. Further investigation is under way, police sources said.
