Kullu, July 15
Shrikhand Mahadev pilgrimage began today from Nirmand in Kullu in which a large number of devotees took part. They will have to walk 32 km from Jaon to the peak situated on 17,000 feet.
The pilgrimage will continue till July 25. The district administration has provided medical facility and set up rescue posts on the way during the pilgrimage.
According to Chief Medical Officer, Kullu, 10 medical officers and 12 paramedical staff have been deployed at Singhghad, Thachru and Bheemdwar.
The police have set up its rescue posts at six places from Bagipul up to Parvati Baag on the route.
Anni DSP Baldev Thakur said extra police force had been deployed for safe pilgrimage in the region.
