Students take out march against Baba

Peeved at the inaction against Baba Amardev against whom a case under Section 324 of the IPC has been registered by the Kandaghat police for seriously injuring a woman, the SFI today took out a protest march against the state government at Solan.

They also burnt an effigy of the Chief Minister at Deputy Commissioner Chowk despite the resistance of policemen. They also raised slogans against the CM and the state government. Accusing the state government of protecting Baba Amardev, youth leaders said it was unfortunate that even the opposition BJP had failed to raise voice against the one-sided action of the state government.

The SFI said the government was protecting the Baba.

Meanwhile, the CID completed its investigations in the case where four leopard hides were seized from the Baba’s possession in April last year. The chargesheet has been handed over to the DFO Solan. — TNS
