The agitating villagers alleged that the successive state governments had neglected the link road connecting six villages.

Raj Kumar, ward member of Thangar, Minakshi Devi, ward member of Jawali and Sarla Devi, local mahila mandal pradhan, who were leading the protest, alleged that the road had not been repaired for the past many years.

“The villagers are facing hardships in shifting patients on their shoulders to a nearby Community Health Centre at Jawali as no ambulance is ready to come to the village due to the poor road condition. Even schoolchildren have to walk to the school,” they said.

The residents have demanded immediate repair of the link road.
