Healthy environment will be provided to new students and there will be zero tolerance to ragging at
Dr Radhakrishnan Medical College and Hospital. Dr Anil Chauhan, principal of the college, said to ensure friendly environment to first-year students, the students of second year would be sent on a one-week vacation.
Classes in the medical college would start from August 1. On the measures taken to make the college ragging-free, the principal said over 20 sites had been identified where awareness signboards would be put up. He said since the college did not have a hostel, the students had to stay as paying guests.
To provide secure and safe accommodation, it was advised to all students and parents to look for places registered with the police.
Chauhan said all students and employees working in the medical college would submit affidavits to adhere to anti-ragging norms set by the college in compliance with the anti-ragging laws.
SHO Sanjeev Gautam said apart from other measures, the college authorities should install CCTV cameras. He said emergency response number 112 should be written on the signboards.
