Jailed Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh’s “adopted daughter” Honeypreet Insan who was remanded to six-day police custody on Wednesday is proving a hard nut to crack for the Haryana Police as she is stonewalling most of the questions being asked to her by the cops interrogating him.

Sources said the police are contemplating to conduct narco test on her in case she continued to be evasive in her replies.
Panchkula Commissioner of Police Arshinder Singh Chawla today confirmed that narco test on Honeypreet was definitely an alternative before the police for a thorough investigation into the case.

IG Mamta Singh, who is heading the police team questioning her, also said on record that Honeypreet has not been completely cooperating in her questioning, though she said the police have been able to extract some major leads from her.
Honeypreet was booked by the police for inciting violence in Panchkula after Ram Rahim’s conviction on August 25 and the police want to extract from her information on how and when the conspiracy for this was hatched and who all were involved in it.
The Tribune has learnt that Honeypreet has either nodded her head or remained silent to the 40 questions asked to her by the members of the SIT which is investigating the case.
“It appears that she has come out to surrender before the police only after complete homework about what to speak and what not to reveal,” the sources said.
Sources said the police have been able to extract information that when she was hiding, she was using WhatsApp calls to remain in touch with her acquaintances, which, though, is not very important for the investigation.
Sources said though she was questioned by the police till the wee hours today, she did not provide many details to the police.
The police took her to Bathinda and some other places in Punjab in the morning today.
“Her replies have been mostly evasive about her whereabouts when she was hiding, her role in inciting violence in Panchkula and about funding those behind the violence," said a source.
Honeypreet was on the run for 38 days before she was arrested by Haryana Police on the charge of sedition on Thursday.
Earlier, the police had issued her lookout notices and last month, a Panchkula court had issued arrest warrants against her, Aditya Insan and Pawan Insan.
