After a dismal performance in the e-auction of commercial properties, the Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) managed to sell 24 residential properties today.
In the e-auction of residential properties, HUDA earned Rs 37.50 crore, 25 per cent higher than the reserve price of the properties.
Initially, HUDA had planned to auction 39 properties, but buyers registered for only 27 properties. Of these 27 properties, HUDA today managed to auction 24 properties. HUDA Estate Officer Jagdeep Dhanda said a 14 marla plot in Mansa Devi Complex (MDC), Sector 6, was auctioned for Rs 3.12 crore against the reserve price of Rs 1.89 crore. Similarly, in terms of percentage, a plot in Sector 19 was auctioned for Rs 47.52 lakh against the reserve price of Rs 23.52 lakh (around 50 per cent higher), he said.
The size of the sold plots varied between 6 marla and 1 kanal in Sectors 4, 12, 17, 19 and 21, and the MDC Sector 6. The reserve price of the plots ranged from Rs 23 lakh to Rs 4.47 crore.
HUDA had earned Rs 35.64 cr in last auction
In the last auction of residential properties on February 16, HUDA had managed to sell 25 plots and had earned Rs 35.64 crore against the reserve price of Rs 26.84 cr, a profit of 33 per cent.
