Inspired by 3 Idiots, they quit

R. Madhavan recently confirmed signing Amriki Pandit, a new film being made by a group of young men, who were inspired by his character in 3 Idiots to turn into filmmakers. Maddy, who essayed the role of a closet photographer forced to pursue engineering in the 2009 blockbuster, inspired seven IT professionals to quit their high-paying jobs to pursue filmmaking and was approached to play the protagonist in their debut film.

Confirms Madhavan, “Yes, I’m glad to be a part of Amriki Pandit which I believe is as interesting and inspiring as my character in 3 Idiots. It’s crazy awesome when these 7 guys told me they were inspired by my act in 3 Idiots which made them quit their jobs in the IT industry and learn filmmaking.”
