Badrinath Ki Dulhania brings back the entire team of Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania on to the silver screen. However, it is not a sequel. Written and directed by Shashank Khaitan, the film stars Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles. Mohit Marwah, Gauhar Khan, Akansha Singh, Shweta Basu, Puneet Singh Ratn, Rituraj Singh, Kanupriya Pandit and Atul Narang will be seen in supporting roles. The music of the film has been composed by Amaal Malik, Tanishk Bagchi and Akhil Sachdeva with Manoj Muntashir and Kumaar penning the lyrics.
