Cause that concerns humanity

CID’s ACP Pradyuman aka Shivaji Satam, whose on-screen character shows him as a tough task master, who is a stickler and extremely disciplined. However, he is a complete opposite in real life! A softy at heart, he feels deeply for people. He has gone all out and pledged to donate his organs for the benefit of others. “I don’t consider this as something great or different. I think it is every individual’s duty and responsibility to work towards the greater good of humanity by helping your fellow citizen in whatever way we can,” he says. “There are times when a person, even though he wants to but can’t extend a helping hand because his circumstances restrict him. But pledging an organ is something that everyone can do. On 27th March 2015, I pledged for my whole body donation to a renowned hospital. I hope that more people take up such good cause and at least pledge one organ, if not the entire body,” Shivaji Satam adds. This act of kindness will inspire the readers to go ahead and pledge their organs, but would have also made a special place for Shivaji Satam in their hearts.
