Comic caper

Television and film actress Shoma Anand has always impressed with her versatility. Best known for her roles in the movies like Barood and Coolie, and TV shows such as Hum Paanch, the actress has now made a grand entry in Sony Sab TV’s Y.A.R.O Ka Tashan. She talks about it and more.

What is your role in the show?

I play Dadi in this show. She is like a kid who is very intelligent as well. After hearing the brief, I immediately agreed to enact the role, post which I came to Mumbai and had to go through a look test to be selected for the role.

How is the show different?

For me, there is no difference between science-comedy or regular comedy. But yes, whatever regular comedy I have done till now is a little different than this. Here Dadi will do funny things like a kid!

What do you like about your character the most?

It is a very lovely role. There are no restrictions or limitations; being an aged woman she does as she pleases. People get scared of her.

Have you worked with Rakesh Bedi before?

I worked with him long time back in Maal Hain Toh Taal Hain. He is a good friend.
