Foray into the mythical zone

The beautiful and talented actress Kritika Kamra has rocked the small screen with performances in shows like Kuch Toh Log Kahenge and Kitni Mohabbat Hai. Now, she will be essaying the role of Chandrakanta, the lead female protagonist in Prem Ya Paheli Chandrakanta. She talks about her experience.

Why did you accept this role?                                                                                   

I have never been a part of a costume drama before and I found the script interesting. The central character is not only a beautiful woman, but she is also a fighter and has a sense of purpose. 

Can this show repeat the magic of the last version of Chandrakanta?    

Although now there is a flood of shows, still it does not mean that this show can’t create the same magic. This show has much more potential and is intriguing; it will be acceptable today.

What has been the most difficult part about playing Chandrakanta so far?

It is getting the Hindi and Urdu words correct. I am not finding any problems while shooting the scenes, but sometimes while reading the script I get nervous as there are these big words in Hindi and Urdu. I face a little difficulty while reading it at length, so I spend extra time in rehearsing the same.

Are there any other shows you are doing?

No, not at all! I work 14 hours for this show!

I want them to watch my show Prem Ya Paheli Chandrakanta. This is really different from the others.
