In a season of comebacks, Katherine Heigl has become the latest actress to plot a comeback to TV. After her successful innings in Grey's Anatomy, Katherine will now be seen in the different avatar. It is learnt that Heigl has joined the newly re-packaged CBS drama Pilot Doubt from Grey's Anatomy executive producers Tony Phelan and Joan Rater. The show was earlier shot for this year’s pilot season, but the makers weren’t too happy with the outcome. Hence, they decided to give the show a new spin and introduce a few cast members. Among them is Heigl. It is learnt that Katherine takes over the lead role originally played by KaDee Strickland. Some original co-stars from the first takes who are still on board include Laverne Cox, Dule Hill, Dreama Walker and Elliott Gould. Heigl most recently starred in last Fall’s short-lived NBC thriller State of Affairs.
