Indira Krishnan, the veteran artiste who will be seen in the forthcoming TV show Krishndasi, based on the untold story of the Devdasi community, feels that the audience with a realistic approach prefers more realistic shows on the small screen. She shared, “Over the years you are showing the same thing; it’s so repetitive. You really don’t know what the audience likes. Suddenly you see a show like Naagin working so well. But people like us, who are so realistic, would prefer some other shows, which are more natural and realistic.”

She adds, “I hope the changing trends of TV shows will end typical saas bahu sagas; even I am tired. I didn’t do much work last year because I was waiting for a good concept.” Indira has also acted in films like Tere Naam, where she played superstar Salman Khan’s sister-in-law, Hey Bro and Team: The Force.

Talking about her other projects in filmdom, Indira said she hoped to get a movie from filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali. “I am banking on my character from Krishndasi to get stronger roles. Getting a film with Sanjay Leela Bhansali would be a great offer for me. He is just brilliant.”
