Veteran actor Gopi Bhalla, who is famous for shows like Hum Aapke Hain In Laws, FIR, Gopi Aur Gupshup and Tu Mera Hero, is back on television with another Sab TV show Dr Bhanumati On Duty. He talks about it and more.
How different is Dr Bhanumati On Duty from the show FIR?
Both the shows are very different. The current show is a comedy where an Army doctor will be seen curing patients in her own different way, whereas FIR revolved around the lives of policemen.
What character are you essaying on the show?
I am playing the character of Dr Bhanumati’s orderly. I will be seen accompanying her wherever she goes.
How has the experience of working with Kavita Kaushik been so far?
We have not worked with each other for almost a year now, but were together in FIR for nine years. We share a great rapport and bonding.
Do you think actors who do comedy on screen get stereotyped?
No. I don’t think so.
What drives you in life?
I want to be the best in whatever I do.
