Ifra Kak, a senior theatre director and actor, has been bestowed with the first prestigious ‘Kavi Rattan Samman’ by Nutan Pryaas Manch.
At a festival named ‘Rang Tarang’, the award was constituted for the first time to honour young artistes of the state who have contributed in various fields of theatre.
“It’s a lifetime honour. I owe gratitude to Nutan Pryaas Manch and its organisers for choosing me for the award. Kavi Rattan was the doyen of modern theatre in the state under whose direction every artiste wanted to work. He was an institution in itself,” Ifra said.
