Army dedicates gym to Sainik School in Manasbal

SRINAGAR: In a bid to boost the capacity of Sainik School, Manasbal in Ganderbal district, the Army has offered a series of enablers so that it can contribute more effectively to empowerment of students and development of the future leadership of Kashmir.

In a bid to boost the capacity of Sainik School, Manasbal in Ganderbal district, the Army has offered a series of enablers so that it can contribute more effectively to empowerment of students and development of the future leadership of Kashmir.

General Officer Commanding of the Srinagar-based 15 Corps Lt Gen Subrata Saha, during his visit to Sainik School, Manasbal, on Thursday, dedicated a well-equipped gymnasium to the school.

“The Corps Commander also gifted a number of projects such as a tour of students to various career institutions of the country as yearly feature, quadrangular sports tournament among premier schools of the Valley, workshop for teachers on the best-teaching practices and immediate measures for improving the perimeter security of the school,” an Army spokesman said.

Maj Gen Arvind Dutta, General Officer Commanding of the Victor Force, accompanied the Corps Commander. — TNS
