The state unit of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) celebrated the birthday of party’s national president Mayawati at a function held at Dogra Hall here today.
Rajya Sabha MP and BSP coordinator for J&K Raja Ram was the chief guest on the occasion while Somraj Majotra, state president of the party, presided over the function.
Speaking on the occasion, Majotra criticised the BJP-PDP government for allegedly depriving the people of their rights. He said the BJP who once claimed to be the sole leaders of Jammu had become the puppets in the hands of the PDP.
In his address, Raja Ram said the Central government had no intentions to help the deprived section of the society.
