City resident Divjot Kour has won five titles at the Mrs India beauty queen pageant held at Zirakpur in Punjab from September 5 to 9.

Divjot was adjudged ‘Mrs India runner-up’. She also bagged the titles of ‘Mrs India Punjab, J&K, Congeniality and Talented’. Divjot Kour is the wife of a serving Army officer, Col Baljeet Singh.

More than 200 participants were selected for the beauty pageant.

Divjot, daughter of Harjinder Singh, is a resident of Mohinder Nagar in Jammu and she is a mother to a four-year-old girl.

She will now be representing the country at various international pageants. It is a matter of great pride for her and her family members as she won five titles in a single pageant, which is a rare and splendid feat. The pageant was covered in five days at Hotel Radisson in Zirakpur.

The beauty pageant comprised talent round, swimsuit round, gown round and IQ round along with a dress round.
