Srinagar, April 11

National Conference president Farooq Abdullah on Thursday held a boat rally on the Dal Lake in Srinagar.

Farooq is in the fray from the Srinagar parliamentary constituency that includes Srinagar, Ganderbal and Budgam districts.

During a public meeting at Nehru Park at the Dal Lake, he said his party stood for the people of Kashmir to protect their rights.

The Baramulla constituency in the Valley went to the polls in the first phase of the elections on Thursday. In second phase, the polls will be held in the Srinagar constituency on April 18.
