Ganderbal hospital gets colour Doppler machine
Srinagar, July 19
To extend the spectrum of diagnostic facilities, including physical profile of high-risk pregnancies, the Directorate of Health Services Kashmir (DHSK) has augmented the infrastructure in the hospitals in rural areas.
As part of the infrastructure-building initiative, the DHSK has installed a high-end colour Doppler machine at Ganderbal District Hospital.
“The radio-diagnosis unit of District Hospital, Ganderbal, has started colour Doppler ultrasound facilities for the general public. The machine will bring a range of services at the doorsteps of the people of the district and adjacent areas for which the patients earlier had to go to major hospitals of city or other diagnostic centres,” said the DHSK in a statement issued here.
The DHSK said the facility would be a huge relief for general public and needy patients in particular who had to wait for months in major health institutes or couldn’t afford the facility in private hospitals.
The installation of the equipment would enhance the diagnostic and intervention potential of the District Hospital, Ganderbal, and would lead to improvement in healthcare services. — TNS
