Jammu: Prominent Gojri writer Choudhary Akhtar Hussain Khatana, 70, died of cardiac arrest at his home in Jammu on Tuesday evening. He was known for his versatility in Gojri fiction. His novel ‘Gallabu’ got high appreciation in the Gojri-speaking areas across the subcontinent. He has also written a number of short stories and TV serials in Gojri for Doordarshan. The J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages has awarded him many times for his contribution to Gujjar culture and the Gojri language. TNS
