Jammu, April 17
Governor NN Vohra released “Koshur Ki Ramayan”, a bilingual volume written by veteran author Birj Nath Bhat Hali, at Raj Bhawan. This volume contains Ramayan in Urdu and Kashmiri in Devnagari script.
The Governor lauded the author’s diligence in translating Ramayan in two languages and presenting both versions in one volume.
The Governorobserved that this work of great literary merit should attract serious interest across a very wide spectrum of readers. The Governor stressed the importance of such books being purchased by the State Library Committee and made available in the district and tehsil libraries for promoting the interest of readers.
The Governor complimented Hali and wished him success in all his future literary endeavours.
