Jammu, November 17
Heavy rush was witnessed outside the examination centres as many aspirants appeared today in the National Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy (NA) entrance examination.
Various examination centres were set up at educational institutes in Jammu, especially in colleges, for the conduct of the entrance test by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).
During a visit to one of the examination centres at GGM Science College, the aspirants looked excited after appearing for the test. Some of them were appearing for the second time while there were a few who were sitting in the exam for the first time.
“For the past one year, I have been preparing for the entrance test. I did not even take admission in the college to purse graduation after passing out Class XII exam this year”, Abhishek Sadhotra, an aspirant from Kanhal village, said.
“Since childhood, I have been wishing to serve the country like my two cousins who are officers in the Indian Army. Life of an Army officer is full of adventures and challenges and the best thing is that one leads a disciplined life”, he further said.
“Last year, I could not qualify the test, but this time, I am sure I will crack it. In my view, there is no better way to serve the country. Army offcers and jawans are a source of inspiration for the whole nation. We salute their bravery for risking their lives to safeguard us”, Mohit Kumar, another aspirant, said.
