Rajouri, August 6
Tight curfew has been imposed in old Rajouri town and its adjoining areas since Sunday night, in wake of the revoking of J&K’s special status (Article 370) and state’s bifurcation into two Union Territories.
Restrictions remained in force for the second consecutive day on Tuesday in major towns of the district, including Rajouri, Sunderbani, Kalakot, Nowshera, Thanamndi, Darhal and Manjakot, while all government and private schools also remained shut. Mobile voice call and internet services have also been snapped in the district and people were facing hardships in connecting with their relatives, friends and government officials. — OC
