The State Administrative Council (SAC) which met under the chairmanship of Governor Satya Pal Malik on Wednesday considered promotion of IAS officers of the J&K cadre, two each of 1987, 1988 and 1989 batches, to the apex scale.
The SAC approved the promotion of Pardip Kumar Tripathi, Sudhanshu Panday, Sundeep Kumar Nayak, Arun Kumar Mehta, Atal Dulloo and Umang Narula to the apex scale with effect from February 2019. The promotion of the first three officers, who are currently on Central deputation, would be on a pro-forma basis. The promotions were recommended by the screening committee.
Approval to posts of veterinary pharmacists
The SAC also approved re-designation of 400 posts of paravets as veterinary pharmacists and stock assistants in the animal and sheep husbandry departments which were created in September last year.
