Shah Rukh calls on CM

Srinagar: Actor Shah Rukh Khan called on Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed in Mumbai today.

During their meeting, Mufti described Shah Rukh as a great and versatile actor who had portrayed a wide array of roles in his long and memorable career.

The Chief Minister took him down memory lane when the Indian film industry used to shoot their films at popular locations in the Kashmir valley. He hoped that the film fraternity of Mumbai would take the initiative and revive their lost bonds with the paradise on earth.

Fondly recalling his childhood memories, Shah Rukh said his grandmother was of Kashmiri origin. He said he would love to shoot in Kashmir again, as this way, he would be able to relive the memorable moments of 2012, when he had worked in filmmaker Yash Chopra’s last directorial venture, “Jab Tak Hai Jaan”. — PTI/TNS
