With online businesses witnessing a steady boom in the Valley, two youths have launched a city-based logistics app that has come to the rescue of women entrepreneurs.

Though Sheikh Samiullah and Abid Rashid, the duo from the downtown, started their company logistics company ‘FastBeetle’ last year, they now have a staff of 10 persons and are also expanding their network to other districts.

“These days, lots of people, especially woman, are involved in the e-commerce sector and doing business on social media sites like Instagram, where they sell different items ranging from Pakistani suits to paintings. However, we realised that they are facing issues delivering their products to customers. Though we have courier companies here, they mostly cater to big e-commerce companies like Flipkart, Amazon etc. Therefore, we started ‘FastBeetle’ exclusively for our city-based entrepreneurs,” Samiullah told The Tribune. Stating that 80 per cent of their clients were women, he said ‘FastBeetle’ provided them order management system and tracking facility just like international e-commerce sites.
