2,245 youths selected at job fair

As many as 2,245 youth got jobs during the fifth job fair being organised under ‘Ghar Ghar Naukri’ scheme of the state government at Lyallpur Khalsa College on Saturday.

SDM-1 Jai Inder Singh inaugurated the fair. During the fair, 3,418 applicants had applied for the jobs. Out of these, 2,245 were offered jobs whereas 55 more youth were Centre.

He said the interested students could apply for the jobs by registering themselves with the District Bureau of Employment Generation or login to www.ghargharrozgar.punjab.gov.in.

Deputy Director, Employment Generation and Training Sunita Kalyan and Harmanpreet Singh were present.
