400 city students score CGPA 10

Repeating the success story of its last year’s Class X results, Innocent Hearts School here maintained its position by attaining the highest number of CGPA of 10 from a single school in the district. Sixty three students of Innocent Hearts School, Model Town, bagged 10 CGPA in the district, coming down to one less from the last year’s 64 students with 10 CGPA. Close on Innocent Hearts’ heels came MGN Public School, Adarsh Nagar, with 54 students securing the CGPA of 10 out of 255 who appeared. With a very less difference came Police DAV School, with 50 students securing CGPA of 10 out of 459 students.

Also the number of students of Police DAV got down to 50 compared to previous year’s result, which was 62 students with the CGPA of 10.

Swami Sant Das School with 41 students secured the CGPA of 10 from the total of 152 who appeared, Innocent Hearts School, Loharan, 21 out of 55 students who bagged the CGPA of 10. In MGN Public School, Urban State, 39 out of 119 students bagged the CGPA of 10.

Among these schools itself, the total number of students bagging 10 CGPA is 354.

For Sanskriti KMV School, 28 out of 88 students got the CGPA of 10. From both LA Blossom School and Mayor World School 12 students and IVY World School, eight students bagged the CGPA of 10. Manav Sehyog School secured 10 CGPAs, Shiv Jyoti Public School bagged 13 and three from Eklavya School bagged the perfect 10 CGPA.

Notably, the total number of students in the district securing the CGPA of 10 ever since the CGPA system started has seen a dramatic rise this year. While last year, the total students grabbing the CGPA 10 was a bit less, this year the number has almost touched 400.

While there has also been a rise in the number of students taking the Class X exams of the CBSE, there has also been an increase in the number of CGPA 10 students per school. While the top school last year was Innocent Hearts School with 64, but this year it’s 63 students.

This year has also seen a comeback of some schools which were lying low in the past years. While last year, Innocent Hearts School produced most CGPA 10 positions, this year it has a tough competition between the second after MGN Public School, Adarsh Nagar, which did not do as well last year. Some relatively lesser known schools also beat some big brand schools in the city to attain better results.

While from Police DAV School, 459 students had appeared, from Innocent Hearts Model Town 200 appeared, from MGN Public School 225, from Swami Sant Das 158 and from Sanskriti KMV 88 students appeared.

Long wait for all

As the students had been waiting since morning for the declaration of the results, it was late in the evening that the CBSE announced its class X results. Students were observed standing in long queues outside Internet cafes and many were glued to the CBSE website on their laptops and mobiles.
