To boost independent thinking among the students and motivate them to take up research and provide a new direction to their thinking, the Niti Ayog, as per its Atal Renovation Mission, shall be opening Atal Tinkering labs in government, private, aided, trust/society schools. The labs shall be opened in schools from class VI to class XII. With the Ayog seeking applications, the DEO office has asked all qualifying schools in the district to apply for the project by July 15. The schools shall be required to send a copy of their downloaded form to the DEO office.
As many as 457 schools from across the country were chosen for setting up Atal Tinkering labs during the year 2016-17. For the year 2017-18, the Central government will select nearly 1,000 schools from across the country for the project. Schools will be required to apply for the project directly on the Niti Ayog website, the deadline for which is July 15.
The government has asked all schools which fufill the terms and conditions of the project to apply for it. Schools have been directed to apply as per the conditions of the project till the stipulated date.
The DEO has also sought a signed copy of the downloaded form to be submitted by July 16 by when all schools are to apply for the project.
