As per reports, the marriage of a girl at Jagjitpur village was fixed with Jarnail Singh, a youth from Mukerian.

It is learnt that the girl saw photos of the groom that were clicked as the marriage function was under way. She claimed she had never seen the man she was going to marry, not even in photographs, before today. She openly refused to marry the “elderly man”, leading to tension in the village.
