Brother accuses Haveli owner of forgery

The famous Haveli restaurant of the region has got embroiled in a controversy as younger brother Harish Jain has levelled allegation against his brother Satish Jain of committing fraud in the firm.

Harish in a complaint submitted to the police division four that his brother had thrown him out of the business by forging papers.

However, the elder brother Satish while denying the allegations said he had not resorted to any fraudulent practices infact his brother has resigned as director from the firm at his own will.

The complainant Harish alleged that he had equal share in the Haveli restaurant, located on the Jalandhar-Phagwara highway, and was also a director in the company. However, his brother Satish prepared his fake resignation letter. He said the city police officials have so far not called him for recording his statement.

When contacted, Satish Jain said his brother had surrendered his share in 2007 and resigned from the post of director in 2011.

“How could I forge his signature or resort to the fraudulent practices. I have all the record and I can prove at any level of inquiry that my image is being maligned. I am also going to file defamation case against him for filing fake complaint against me,” said Jain.
