City doctor invited as expert for seminar on acupuncture in China

The Cultural and Educational Department of Chinese Embassy has invited ‘Indian Acupuncture Expert Delegation’ in which 10 expert delegates from India have been called to visit China for a nine-day trip from September 13 to 21, to address the seminar organised on the subject of physiotherapy and acupuncture.
The Chinese embassy has invited expert delegates from different states of India and Dr Mewa Singh is one of the doctors selected from Punjab. Having done GAMS, MS Physiotherapy, MD PhD Acupuncture from Hong Kong University, Dr Mewa is presently running a physiotherapy and acupuncture centre under the name ‘Bawa health and Rehab Center’, where he is treating Neuro-Musculo-Skeletal disorders without medicine or surgery.
Talking to the Tribune Dr Mewa Singh said apart from India, he had also served in Canada and has cured ailments with his acupuncture skills. He said this Indian acupuncture delegate had been called to address an international seminar organised on the subject of physiotherapy and acupuncture. As India has widened its roots in both of the fields, the Indian delegate will highlight the benefits of these techniques and how acupuncture is more successful than any kind of surgeries.
