Anuj Dhawan of Apeejay School has secured 92 ranks in the Joint Entrance Examination (advance).

Son of a doctor, Anuj gave the credit of his success to sister and grandfather. “My sister, who is pursuing BTech in computer sciences from NIT, Jalandhar, and my grandfather, motivated me a lot to perform well in exam. Teachers of my coaching centre also worked very hard to make me reach this level,” said Anuj. Anuj never compromised his leisure time to study. “Apart from studying five to six hours in a day in addition to studying at coaching centre, I could easily spare time to watch TV and movies at least once in a week. I believe that without making yourself rejuvenated, one cannot perform better in the studies. I love watching movies and TV. My parents hardly restricted me to do the same. Besides this, I have secured 97.8 per cent marks in CBSE Class XII exams,” he said. A computer sciences aspirant, Anuj, said, he wanted to opt for Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi to pursue BTech in computer sciences. “I never planned to go abroad to pursue BTech in computer sciences. I find IITs a better option. I may choose foreign universities for my masters though,” Anuj said. “I have been working hard for the past two years. After taking admission in Class XI in Apeejay School, I started preparing for the JEE. I have been studying for around six hours a day apart from attending the school regularly. It is difficult to attain something without hard work and time management. I simply stayed regular all through my studies,” he said. In a jubilant mood Anuj said that it’s a party time now.
