The Thailand police have arrested a Jalandhar-origin hotelier for allegedly having paid sex with a 14-year-old girl procured from another 17-year-old procurer.
According to Thailand-based media reports, Parmod Kumar was arrested from Jomtien Plaza Residence in Pattaya, Bang Lamung district, Chon Buri province.
Pol Maj Gen Surachate Hakparn, Deputy Commissioner of the Tourist Police Bureau, addressed the media to announce a major breakthrough in the child prostitution racket running in Pattaya.
According to sources, Parmod, a resident of Jalandhar, had gone to Thailand around 12 years ago where he ran a hotel on a contractual basis along with a Thai national.

“We will seek information about the incident from the police officials concerned,” said Sinha.
