Clean chit to Patel Hospital

While giving clean chit to Patel Hospital authorities over the encroachment of illegal parking area at Civil Lines, Senior Town Planner Hemant Batra said, “The parking area in question is not owned by the hospital but has been claimed by a private contractor Sanjay Joshi.”

“According to Joshi, he owns the land of the parking area which according to Town Planning Department has been proposed as a park. Though he has shown us the documents pertaining to the ownership of the land, we need to check the fact whether he has raised any objection after the Town Planning Department notified the area as a park? ,” said Batra. He said the government invites objection every time after the notification of Town Planning Department so that, if any ambiguity reported can be removed. ‘If the claimant fails to raise any objection for a stipulated time, he loses ownership rights over the land,” said Batra. However, he said that Joshi has been asked to remove the fencing around the parking area within 24 hours till the issue gets sorted out by the building department.—TNS
