Congress leader from Kartarpur, Chaudhary Jagjit Singh, and the other party workers today burnt the effigy of Punjab Government at Kartarpur.

While addressing the gathering, he said: “There is no rule of law under the present SAD-BJP government in the state.”

He said sky rocketing inflation has caused hue and cry among the public, yet no measures were being taken to tackle the same.

He blamed the government for discontinuing the blue cards of many people, who were now unable to avail the atta and dal at subsidised prices.

Chaudhary said that people have not been provided with old age and widow pensions for past many months.
