Counselling session for children of policemen held

Jalandhar, September 18

The Jalandhar Commissionerate today organised a career counselling and guidance seminar in which children of the Punjab police officials took part.

It was organised under the project DISHA (career counselling and guidance) -an initiative of Shruti Shukla, state coordinator of Career Counseling Bureau Punjab. Shruti is also a wife of Jalandhar Police Commissioner Arpit Shukla.

Shruti Shukla in her address said, "The purpose of holding this session is to provide career guidance to the wards of police personnel who are studying in classes X, XI and XII. We want to tap their aptitude and interest at the right time and empower them to make decision for their future."

The Police Commissioner also interacted with the students and encouraged them to fix a goal. 

District Education Counsellor  Surjit Lal and six trained psychologists were also present on the occasion.
