Day 2: Technovation 2K19 sees workshops, motivational talk

A three-day technology and innovation festival, ‘Technovation – 2K19’, is being organised at Panjab University Swami Sarvanand Giri Regional Centre (PUSSGRC) in Hoshiarpur.

The event was inaugurated on Saturday by Prof Emanual Nahar, Dean Student Welfare, Panjab University, who was the chief guest. Yogesh Kalia, director of Medhavi Centre for Automotive Research, was the guest of honour.

Prof HS Bains welcomed guests and gave detailed information regarding the event on the first day of the event. He said this year’s theme was ‘Changing the obvious’. Yogesh Kalia inspired students with his tips on entrepreneurship skills. Emanual Nahar motivated students to be all-rounders. Munish Jindal, founder and CEO of HoverRobitics, spoke on how artificial intelligence could bring a revolution. Nitin Rai Chaudhary, founder and CEO of Digital Series, also spoke on the occasion. Technical events conducted during the fest were ‘47 rupees plan’, ‘Workshop on digital series’, ‘HoverRobitics’, ‘Pull a bot’, ‘Aqua jet’ and ‘Hackathaon’.

The second day began with a workshop on ‘Ethical hacking’ by Techvento, which laid emphasis on the concept of hacking amalgamated with ethics. He taught students that they could use their hacking skills for the betterment of society. Popular YouTuber Kena Shree, who is a HR professional, was the speaker of the day. She addressed students with her simplicity and told them about her journey. She even motivated students to follow their passion as she did.

The day also witnessed a workshop on CAD modeling by engineers from GNA, which was highly appreciated by all. ‘Feynman learning’, ‘Live of fate’, ‘The golden bot’, ‘Auction @ your crew’, ‘Blind coding’, ‘Off road’ were the other technical and management events that were held on the second day.

Prof HS Bains, Director of PUSSGRC applauded the speakers and motivators for their presence and talk.

He also appreciated the efforts made by the PUSSGRC team for making the event a success.
