Tirth Ram, Ex-panchayat member, Surinder Kaur, Balbir Kaur, Mahinder Kaur, in the presence of the Bahujan Samaj Party leader MP Singh Goraya, said the villagers had submitted their requests to Block Development Officer (BDO), Phillaur, several times but to no avail.

They alleged that some persons dig up the road, full of dirty water, with the help of village sarpanch. They alleged that water connections of dozens of houses were disconnected as water pipes were damaged by JCB machine.

When contacted, sarpanch of the village, Paramjit Kaur, denied the allegations that she supported any person to dig up the road. Despite repeated attempts BDO Ranjit Singh could not be contacted.

Sub Divisional Magistrate, Phillaur, Navneet Kaur Bal, instructed the BDO to send panchayat secretary to the village to assess the situation and submit a report to redress the problem.
