Dist admn firm to make Shobha Yatra a success

MLA Sushil Kumar Rinku and Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kulwant Singh today said the district administration would ensure elaborate arrangements for the upcoming Shobha Yatra to mark the Parkash Utsav of Satguru Gian Giri Maharaj to be held on June 14.
Presiding over a meeting to review the arrangements for the Shobha Yatra here at the District Administrative Complex, the MLA and ADC, who was officiating as Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar, said no stone would be left unturned to ensure that the yatra which covered around five km radius at Bhargo Camp and nearby localities was held in a smooth and hassle-free manner.
They asked the people to participate in the Shobha Yatra with fervour, adding that the Administration would ensure that pilgrims coming from other parts of the country were facilitated.
“Requisite arrangements will be made for traffic diversion, parking facility and security arrangements during the yatra” added the MLA and ADC.
They said the Municipal Corporation Jalandhar would ensure proper cleanliness of the route of the Shobha Yatra, sprinkle water on the roads and ensure temporary urinal and mobile toilets to make the event a success.
“The Health Department will depute medical teams along with medicines and ambulances. Similarly, the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited PSPCL to evolve a mechanism ensuring uninterrupted power supply during the event, adding that the police will make necessary arrangements to maintain the law and order during the yatra,” added the MLA and ADC.
