DSSO celebrates New Year at old-age home

Harmesh Singh, District Social Security Officer (DSSO), today celebrated the New Year with the inmates of old-age home.
Nineteen men and nine women are staying at the old-age home.
The DSSO said it was the order of the Director of The Department of Social Security and Development of Women and Children that DSSOs must celebrate the occasion with the inmates of the old-age home.
The officer also listened to the problems of the inmates.
It was found that two inmates from Rajpura and Hoshiarpur were not getting pensions, despite the fact that they had submitted their forms.
The DSSO said he would approach the DSSOs of the respective districts and find out its status.
