Education Dept issues model question papers

The State Education Department has released the ‘Model question papers’ for the students of 3rd, 4th and 5th class. The question papers have been uploaded on the website of ‘Parho Punjab Paraho Punjab’ project for the convenience and the better results of the elementary classes students at government schools.

The question papers of four subjects— English, Punjabi, Mathematics and Environmental Studies— have been uploaded in Punjabi, English and Hindi languages for Class III students and questions papers of five subjects — English, Punjabi, Mathematics, Hindi and Environmental Studies— have been uploaded for Class IV students.

In the circular issued by the department, it has been mentioned that the assessment of the students in the SA-2 exams would be based on the format of the model question papers only.

Teachers can also use the same format in framing more practice question papers. These papers will be of great help to the students in SA-2 examinations that are going to be held in March.

Director, State Education Research and Training Council, Inderjit Singh said, the model questionnaires were also demanded by teachers for understanding the contents of textbooks, which the Education Department has completed.

Similar to these papers, the teachers should prepare question papers at their own level, so that the understanding of the curriculum becomes intensified. Moreover, the learning ability of the students of the government schools under the ‘Parho Punjab Paraho Punjab’ project would be enhanced and better results be expected in the SA-2 examinations.
