Fun activities to improve learning among students of govt schools

Under the ‘Padho Punjab Padhao Punjab’ project, students of government schools are now studying their syllabus through different fun activities. The recently added activities include, learning table manners, learning tenses with music, golden memory, things around us, etc.

All the activities have been introduced in schools in order to improve a student’s personality and procure better results. Meanwhile, in past even the multimedia content was designed for students of Classes I to V in English, Hindi, Punjabi, mathematics and environment science subjects. 

Monika, a government school teacher said, “The activities have been prepared by teachers of government schools itself. Slides of almost every chapter have been prepared. We are giving additional time to students to make them learn table manners, sit and stand postures as well as how to greet and meet elder or new members.”

She further said whenever a chapter is taught by a teacher, animated content with background narration is displayed on the screen in the classroom, while outside classrooms, special worksheets and other equipments have been designed to fulfill the Parho Punjab Pardhao Punjab project guidelines,” she added.

Education Secretary Krishan Kumar said, “Teachers are being asked to prepare study material for the students and also practice the way of teaching.”

A student Loveleen Kaur of Class V said, “Several activities such as clay modelling, colour identifications, pottery making, table manners, learning with music, etc are conducted every day by teachers to keep us engaged. We all enjoy learning new concepts.”
